This unit taught students of all the actions leading up to World War II and what went on during and after the war both in Europe and in America. World War II was a pivotal war in the standing of many nations today. World War II changed relations between countless nations as it split a large portion of the world into two groups, the Allies and the Axis powers. The actions of Hitler and Germany were a huge turning point leading up to war in Europe. During this time period communism was on the rise and America was out to stop the rise of this deadly socialist movement. America attempted to stay out of this war and let the rest of the allies fight but after time America cracked and joined in on this large scale war. On this site you will learn of every aspect surrounding World War II. Starting out the reader will learn about German rise and the start of the war and this will lead in the US response, the Holocaust, and eventually how the Allies took the victory in this war. World War II was a war consisting of many battles and large scale death topping the list as the number one deadliest war in world history. It is estimated that at the maximum seventy-two million people were died one way or another during the six year war. The size of this war is what makes it so important and heavily taught to students world wide today.
